by Sophie An | Jan 15, 2018 | Canvas updates, Course types and access

by Brígida | Dec 11, 2017 | Canvas updates, Course types and access, Get started with Canvas

Course publishing dates suggestion

by Brígida | Nov 16, 2017 | Canvas tips, Canvas updates, Course types and access

We would like to suggest that courses are published at least 2 weeks prior to the beginning of the semester. Publishing will allow students to see in the dashboard the courses in which they are enrolled.

Cross-listing of courses

by Brígida | Nov 15, 2017 | Canvas updates, Course design and development, Course types and access

Year-long courses and courses with different codes but with the same content are potential candidates for cross-listing. We strongly recommend that you read about these and, if applicable to you, get your courses cross-listed before you start the course setup. Once students submit an assignment, we will no longer be able to perform the cross-listing.

Canvas roles – what is the difference between course ‘Course Coordinator’ and Canvas “Course Coordinator’?

by Brígida | Nov 6, 2017 | Canvas tips, Canvas updates, Course types and access

Canvas course coordinator can only add and remove people from the Canvas course. They cannot edit the course content. If you don’t need to provide or remove access to a Canvas course, even if you are Course course coordinator, you do not need the Canvas course coordinator role.
