While providing a platform for academic courses, Canvas also provides a setting for us to deliver learning support services and resources to distinct cohorts of students.
Typically ‘non-standard or manually created courses’ (MCCs) are non-credit bearing, with a focus on teaching and learning, but are not bound to official UoA course enrollments and may exist outside of semester or quarter schedules.
Non-standard or manually created courses may be used in a variety of ways at the University: to share information and files online; have discussions; create wiki pages; collaborate on online documents and schedule appointments for student advising.
