Here’s a brief guide for setting up a Final Exam assignment, so that you can enter your Final Exam marks in the gradebook.
My course doesn’t use weightings
- Go to Assignments > +Assignment to create a Final Exam assignment.
- Save and publish the assignment.
- Go to Grades and mute the assignment.
You’re now ready to enter your Final Exam marks.
My course uses weightings
- Go to Assignments > +Group to create a Final Exam assignment group.
- Select the cog (settings) button beside +Assignment and choose Assignment groups weight.
- In the popup window, enter the weight for each group as required.
- Go to Assignments > +Assignment.
- Select the correct Assignment Group for this assignment and enter the correct number of points the assignment is being marked out of (e.g. 100 points).
- Save and publish the assignment.
- Go to Grades and mute the assignment.
You’re now ready to enter your Final Exam marks.
Tips
- If you’ve created an assignment but it is not showing in the gradebook, you need to publish and mute this assignment.
- Your assignment can be unmuted (to make marks available to students) once you’re happy with these marks.
