Error when exporting course content from Modules

As of April, students can view their course offline as an HTML file. That is available if they download the HTML file from the Modules page by clicking ‘Export course content’.

We have reports that students received an error message when trying to download the HTML file. The Canvas team has investigated and found that the error occurs when the course has two or more files with the same name.

To correct the issue, you can simply rename one of the files and ask the students to download the HTML file again.
