Recovering deleted course items in Canvas
During the Learn Do Share 2017, Sally Eberhard shared some Canvas tips and tricks. On this one she explains that every Canvas course has a hidden page which stores a list of deleted items from the course – a bit like the Recycle Bin on your desktop computer. However, not everything is recoverable.
Group assignment with individual submission
In group assignments, regardless of whether grades are assigned to students individually or one mark for all students in the group, only one assignment submission will count for the entire group. To have students submit their assignments individually, do not enable group assignment when setting up the assignment.
Course publishing dates suggestion
We would like to suggest that courses are published at least 2 weeks prior to the beginning of the semester. Publishing will allow students to see in the dashboard the courses in which they are enrolled.
