Reduce the number of clicks: linking content in your course

by | Jan 29, 2018 | Canvas tips, Canvas updates

In Canvas, you can easily and quickly interlink content or areas within your course. To make your course simpler to navigate, use direct links where appropriate. The content selector is a linking tool that can be found on the right hand side of every Rich Content Editor page. To create links:

  1. Click the Links tab in the content selector.
  2. Choose the type of link destination such as Assignments, Discussions, Pages etc.
  3. Click the name of the item, (this is will be name you have given when you created the item) from the list.

If you cannot see an item, check whether it has been published. You will need to save and publish the item before it is available in the content selector.
