Common issues in Canvas #2: error in test student view

You can view your course the same way that your students view your course by enabling Student View in course settings. However, you cannot use Student View with certain features or LTI tools that require user account/ email authentication.

For example:

• Turnitin assignments
• Piazza
• Collaborations
• Conferences
• Reading List (Talis)

This is an expected error, as the Canvas test student does not have a valid user account/ email address.

You can view student guides on most of the features and LTI tools, instead.
