The course home page is the first page students see when they open your course. Canvas allows teachers to select a layout that is deemed most effective for a course. Regardless of which layout you choose, you can enable recent announcements to be shown as part of your course home page. You can also set the number of announcements that should be displayed. To enable this feature, navigate to settings, then course details. Click on the more options link, and select the show recent announcements on course home page checkbox.
