Global announcements created by our Canvas admin display on the top of Canvas dashboard. There are five announcement types for global announcements:
- A blue announcement with an i icon indicates an information announcement type.
- A red announcement with an exclamation icon indicates an error announcement type.
- An orange announcement with an exclamation icon indicates a warning announcement type.
- A blue announcement with a question icon indicates a question announcement type.
- A blue announcement with a calendar icon indicates a calendar announcement type.
For example, the current announcement as show in the screenshot below is an information announcement type.
A Global Announcement page has been recently added to the Account link, which shows as your profile picture in the Global Navigation menu. All the current announcements and the announcements published in the last four months are listed in this page. The Global Announcement page is available for both staff and students.
