Canvas training 2022

We are making a number of drop-ins, Canvas training and Digital Assessment workshops available in January and February 2022. All sessions will be hosted on Zoom, and are open to everyone.

Session descriptions

Canvas Introduction

Do you want to know more about Canvas? This session introduces Canvas to anyone who is new to teaching at the University or those who want a refresher. It offers an overview of the basic features of Canvas such as: Using the Rich Content Editor, creating pages, modules and assignments, and communicating in Canvas.

Group and peer review assignments

Are you preparing for setting up group assignment and / or peer review assignment in Canvas? We will provide weekly Canvas training on this topic. The sessions will provide an overview of how to set up group and peer review assignments, as well as a brief comparison of some alternative peer evaluation tools, e.g. Teammates.

Digital assessment

We will provide workshops on digital assessment. The sessions will cover:

• The basics of setting up different types of assessments in Canvas,
• Marking in SpeedGrader,
• Creating and marking with rubrics.
