To access your 2018 course, contact the relevant course access authoriser. If you already have access to your course, but you are unable to view or use certain content/ features, you may require a different or additional role in the course.
At the University of Auckland, cross-listed courses can be created when courses have the same content but different course codes, or, a course is a full-year course that has two course codes in Student Services Online (SSO).
If you require access to your 2018 course you need to contact your course access authoriser.
We would like to suggest that courses are published at least 2 weeks prior to the beginning of the semester. Publishing will allow students to see in the dashboard the courses in which they are enrolled.
Year-long courses and courses with different codes but with the same content are potential candidates for cross-listing. We strongly recommend that you read about these and, if applicable to you, get your courses cross-listed before you start the course setup. Once students submit an assignment, we will no longer be able to perform the cross-listing.
Canvas roles – what is the difference between course ‘Course Coordinator’ and Canvas “Course Coordinator’?
Canvas course coordinator can only add and remove people from the Canvas course. They cannot edit the course content. If you don’t need to provide or remove access to a Canvas course, even if you are Course course coordinator, you do not need the Canvas course coordinator role.
