Applying free-form Canvas rubrics in SpeedGrader

Hazim Namik, Professional Teaching Fellow at the Faculty of Engineering, discusses applying free-form rubrics to assignments to improve grading in SpeedGrader

For ENGGEN 100G, MECHENG 201, and MECHENG 222 students submit their assignments as an online submission in Canvas. These are marked in SpeedGrader by using Canvas rubrics. The use of rubrics help students understand expectations for the assignment and how you intend to score their work, while supporting TAs to maintain consistency on their scoring.
